NOTEBOOKS
1977, STUART HALL CO. INC.
As the KISS craze went on, the merchandising machine realised the potential of hitting the school-age kids (not literally, that would be illegal!). By 1977, KISS at their zenith was the kind of band cool enough to have on your notebooks and use in class. Two 42-page versions were produced of this 10½ x 8-inch notebook.
The covers featured a photo from the famous ‘cubes’ band shoot by Barry Levine and a harder-to-find one utilising photography shot during the time of the ALIVE II promotion - again by Barry as well as Neal Preston. This notebook also featured printed signatures on the cover. Kansas-based Stuart Hall Company also produced notebooks for The Muppet Show and Star Wars so the quartet was in fine company! These notebooks also had a Teen Scene magazine logo on the back of some copies. The next year’s lot would be re-branded with the official KISS logo.
Sold as a set of two on some of the merchandise forms.
